Project Update

Clyde is now Open Source

Dear Clyde Community,

After an extraordinary journey of pioneering advanced code protection, virtual machine compilation, and bytecode hardening for the Luau language, active commercial development and support for the Clyde Obfuscator has officially come to an end.

We are deeply grateful to all our users, customers, and contributors for your time, trust, and exceptional support throughout this adventure. Your engagement and feedback have been invaluable to our growth.

To ensure that the technology we created continues to serve, educate, and empower developers, SFR Development has released the entire, custom-built compilation and virtualization engine to the public under the MIT License. Anyone is free to inspect, learn, adapt, and build upon our work.

Parser & AST

Full hand-written Luau lexer, parser, and abstract syntax tree generator covering type annotations, compound assignments, generics, and more.

AST Passes

Sophisticated obfuscation transforms including scope-aware local renaming, string XOR encryption, and control flow flattening.

Dual VM Core

Dual custom-built stack-based and register-based virtual machines compiling AST into encrypted bytecode with polymorphic shuffling.

Support Us with a Star!

If you appreciate us releasing the entire compiler, obfuscation engine, and stack/register VM architectures to the public, please consider starring the repository on GitHub. It means the world to our team and helps others discover our work!
